Privacy

Last updated October 15, 2026

ClubScout is a directory of wrestling clubs and a record of their results. This page says what we store about people who make an account, and what we never publish.

Accounts are for adults

You must be 18 or older to make a ClubScout account. We ask you to confirm it when you sign in, and we keep the time you confirmed. If you are under 18, please do not make an account. If we learn that a child made one, we delete it.

What we store about your account

  • Your email address.
  • When you confirmed you are 18 or older, when the account was made, and when you last signed in.
  • Sign-in codes. A code works for 10 minutes. We keep only a scrambled form of it (not the digits), and old ones are deleted.
  • A record that you are signed in on a device, so you stay signed in for up to 30 days or until you sign out. The cookie that holds it is not readable by the page's scripts.
  • A scrambled form of your internet address, kept for a short time, so we can stop someone from asking for thousands of codes.

There are no passwords. Each sign-in uses a new code sent to your email.

If you choose Continue with Google, Google tells us your email address and that it is verified. We keep only the email. We do not get your Google password, and we do not ask for your name, photo or contacts.

We also keep the account type you choose (athlete or parent, coach, or fan) and when you chose it.

What we store when you ask to claim an athlete page

When you ask to claim an athlete page we store your name, whether you are the athlete (18 or older) or a parent or legal guardian, your account, the time, and our decision. We use it only to decide who the page is linked to. Your name is never shown on the site.

For now an approved request opens nothing to edit. Before a parent can add anything about a wrestler under 18, we are getting a legal review of children's privacy rules.

What we store when you claim a club

When you ask to claim a club page we store your name, whether you are the owner or the head coach, your account email, the time, and, when we approve the claim, why we approved it (for example, that your email is on the club's own website domain). We use it only to decide who may edit the club's page.

Your name and email are not shown on the club page. What a coach types into the club's page (bio, prices, practice times, the club's phone and email, social links, coaches, a cover photo link) is published there. Only enter what the club wants the public to see.

What we never publish about young people

ClubScout never publishes the names of parents, the phone numbers or email addresses of minors, or photos of children. Results appear only as the event published them: name, age group, weight, place, with a link to the source.

If you are an athlete or a parent and want a listed result corrected or removed, contact us and we will look at it.

Cookies and your browser

We use only the cookies the site needs: one that keeps you signed in, one that remembers a sign-in you have started, and, for clubs claimed before accounts existed, one that lets the claiming browser edit the club. Your Watch List is kept in your browser's own storage on your device. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Who else handles data

We do not sell your information. The services that run the site handle it for us: Vercel (hosting), Neon (the database) and Resend (it sends the sign-in emails). They see what is needed to do that job, such as your email address when a code is sent, and server logs with internet addresses.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time from your account page. To see, correct or delete your account information, contact us.
